Located in one of the best wine growing regions in Washington State, deeply nestled in a picturesque sweep of the Yakima River at the foot of Red Mountain (arguably the best wine-growing region in Washington), Oakwood Cellars has been producing award-winning wines since 1986 with the philosophy that great wines require time to bring out their rich, pleasing flavor.

Oakwood Cellars takes great pride producing only high-quality premium wines from Washington varietal grapes, and played in an important part in early wine making - becoming a taste tradition in the aging of premium wines.

From its beginning in 1985, the winery's commitment has always been to "handcraft" wines from the best grapes available for each of their varietal wines. 

Although labor intensive and time consuming, Oakwood Cellars believes these winemaking choices and techniques produce great wines.  Awards and medals for every varietal produced, lend credence to the Oakwood Cellars philosophy.
